| Element family | Assign building elements to standard families (wall, roof, ceiling, etc.). |
| Element functions | Set the "Interior" or "Exterior" property in the wall properties. This allows you to distinguish between exterior and interior walls. |
| Element layers | SURAP reads the component layers and the corresponding material names for each component. Life cycle assessment data is then assigned to this material data. Consistent material naming facilitates this assignment. |
| Building area | Check the gross floor area in the SURAP project settings and, if necessary, enter the net floor area. |
