SURAP Workflow
Step 1: Create a design variant
Open the Design Editor and create a new design variant. Select the design option, phase, and evaluation approach, then click "Add."
Step 2: Assign building materials
Assign data records from the selected assessment method (e.g., EN 15804, SURAP Footprints, KBOB) to the materials. Information regarding the modes of transport and distances for the respective materials can also be entered here (transport from the factory to the construction site, Module A4). In the “Use” tab, you can also adjust the service lives (Reference Service Life, RSL) of the materials.
Step 3: Record energy metrics
Open the Energy tab and enter the consumption data, e.g., for heating, cooling, or electricity. Consumption is recorded in kWh per year.
Step 4: View results
The Results section displays all calculated values in tabular form—at the building, component, and material levels.
Step 5: Analyze the options
First, create new variants in the "Design Editor" or duplicate existing ones. In the Analysis section, you can then compare different design variants using bar charts and pie charts.
Optional
Show Hotspot View
In the visualization, the results are displayed directly within the model. Components with high environmental impacts are highlighted in color.
Project settings
Adjust the building's useful life, reference area, and other calculation parameters for the analysis.
Create a material profile
Material profiles can be saved, customized, and reused for other design variations.
Export
The results can be exported as an Excel file and used for further analysis.
