How do I get an EPD?

Do you want to show how sustainable your product really is? Then an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is exactly what you need. An EPD makes the environmental impact of your product transparent - based on national, European and international standards.

1. make contact

Use the contact form at the bottom of this page or simply write to us at info@surap.de.

We clarify in a short conversation:

  • Which products you would like to balance
  • Whether you already have data or preliminary information
  • For which area of application the EPD is intended (e.g. public tenders, customer requirements, listing on EPD platforms)

Goal: Non-binding introduction & initial assessment of the effort involved

2. record data

We guide you through the data collection process - step by step:

  • Materials used, quantities, energy sources
  • Production processes, transportation, waste
  • Disposal or recycling at the end of life

Don't worry: you don't need any experience in life cycle assessment - we'll pick you up right where you are.

3. life cycle assessment & draft EPD

We create the life cycle assessment (LCA) based on your information and prepare the EPD draft. You get:

  • Full transparency about the results
  • On request: Information on reducing environmental impact
  • The opportunity to ask questions and make adjustments

4. verification & publication

For published EPDs, we work together with independent EPD program offices.

You decide:

  • Whether you have a verified EPD (e.g. for public use/certification)
  • Or a non-verified EPD for internal purposes

5. benefit & communicate

Now you can use your EPD for:

  • Tenders and building certifications.
  • Sustainability Communication & Marketing.
  • Basis for carbon footprints and ESG strategies

Any questions?

We accompany you personally on the way to the EPD.
