DGNB certification
The SURAP DGNB method is adapted to the DGNB certification (version 2023) and uses environmental product declarations (EPDs) and generic data from ÖKOBAUDAT in accordance with DIN EN 15804+A1. In the new DGNB version (2023), you can earn points for calculating the GWP-fossil values according to EN15804+A2 for the production phase in early planning phases. You can use the SURAP EN15804+A2 or Level(s) methods for this.
Life cycle phases
The following life cycle phases and modules are used for the assessment according to DGNB V.2023: Production A1-A3, replacement/replacement B4, energy B6, disposal (C3, C4), recycling (material D1, energy D2). All SURAP LCA methods also allow the assessment of transportation from the building material manufacturer to the construction site (A4).

Environmental impact indicators DNGB Version 2023
| Abbreviation | Indicator | Unit |
|---|---|---|
| GWP | Global Warming Potential | kg CO2-eq. |
| ODP | Ozone depletion potential | kg CFC 11 eq. |
| POCP | Photochemical Ozone Creation Potential | kg C2H2 eq. |
| AP | Acidification potential | kg SO2-eq. |
| EP | Eutrophication potential | kg (PO4)3-eq. |
| PENRT | Total use of non-renewable primary energy resources | MJ |
| PERT | Total use of primary energy resources | MJ |
DGNB certification
The SURAP QNG approach is adapted to the requirements of QNG certification. The data from the QNG calculation values 2023 version 1.3 table is used.
Life cycle phases
The following life cycle phases and modules are available in the SURAP QNG database: A1-A3, B4, B6, C3, C4, D1, D2.

Environmental impact indicators
| Abbreviation | Indicator | Unit |
|---|---|---|
| GWP | Global Warming Potential | kg CO2-eq. |
| PENRT | Total use of non-renewable primary energy resources | MJ |
LEED certification
The Level(s) approach (see below) can also be used for other rating systems that accept the Level(s) system, e.g. within the LEED BD+C: New Construction category of the LEED certification system.
